John Sheridan has been performing professionally for over 30 years and for the past 20 years has performed with the area’s premier Jazz artist. He has performed with Richie Cole (Alto Madness), Larry McKenna, Jim Ridl, Steve Varner (Pat Martino), Gary Mazzaroppi (Tal Farlow & Les Paul), Jazz Celebration Big Band, The Skyliners, Marko Marcinko (Dave Liebman) and Roy Cummings (Phil Woods) to mention a few. Past performances also include appearances as session guitarist on recordings for Nile Blue Records, eMCee Records and GMG Studios. John has also been featured in the local press ,various radio shows and has also been featured on the Miles of Music television show. He continues to perform in area clubs in a multitude of musical configurations and at area Jazz Festivals. John is an associate professor of Music at Bucks County Community College where he teaches Jazz Guitar, Music Technology and Multimedia. He is a BCCC Alumnus, earned a BM in Jazz Composition and Arranging from Temple University and a MA in Jazz Composition from New York University. He has studied guitar with Ed Flanagan, Joe Federico ,Tom Giacabetti, , and John Abercrombie.
